We will be supplying the Scalloway Meat Company with beef and new season lamb from the 1st of July.  We now hope to market all our stock, which are not kept for breeding through Scalloway Meat Company and are very pleased to be able to supply Shetland with top quality local produce.

Below is a picture of Scholland Wiseguy (14 months old) who we are really excited about and he will be offered for sale early next year. We think he is certainly the best bull we have produced to date with plenty of length, muscle and power.

April 2008

We have now scanned all our embryo recipient cows and have 10 confirmed pregnancies.  We are extremely pleased with our first embryo work and once again our thanks go to Ovaflo.

We have sold both our yearling bulls to local suckler herds this year and we wish them both every success with their purchases. Scholland Lord Jacob is pictured below:

Embryo Transfer Program

The first embryo transfer work has been carried out at Scholland with great success.  We flushed our own cow Skaill Diana E355 and also purchased embryos.  We have pregnancies confirmed of the following matings: Skaill Diana E355 x Rawburn Echester D297 and Hoff Ebony S C 3330 991 x Quaker Hill Objective 3J15 of course we are very excited to see how these calves look in October.  Many thanks to Alistair and Seonaid from Ovaflo for all their help and work.

We are particularily excited about Wiseguy and Duncans Delight both pictured below.
